Skye Homes is a vertically integrated developer, investor and operator of purpose Built to Rent Residential with a current pipeline of 600 units proposed to start construction within the next three years

In the 1990s we developed leisure and retail parks. In fact, we built over 24 of these across the country. All of them had a multi-plex cinema and back in the day we were the biggest developer of leisure and out of town entertainment in the UK. Cheshire Oaks Coliseum Leisure and Retail was one of our most successful schemes in the North West.

We have recently developed a ‘price-focussed’ BTR concept based on the principal of new build development with cost conscious, albeit high quality resident’s amenities and management.

We offer professionally managed accommodation for residents who appreciate greater security of tenure and longer leases without the threat of no-fault eviction notices at a price they can afford.

Our locations are best-in-class and our rental proposition to the private market features hotel style facilities backed up by a high quality management service.

We are now actively pursuing expansion through identifying sites and developing our portfolio from the ground up.

The Built to Rent market

  • Residential Housing is the biggest property market sector in the UK with the Private Rental Sector (PRS) accounting for 30% of the market, worth £1.2 Trillion
  • In the US, 40% of PRS housing stock is purpose ‘Build to Rent’ (BTR); multi-unit blocks of purpose built private rented housing in single ownership
  • The UK is expected to follow the US, according to industry reports from Savills, the BTR market will be worth £550 Billion by 2035, up from £30 Billion in 2021

EPIC, Ellesmere Port

EPIC is our first BTR development, located in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. We have submitted planning for 39 units plus residents lounge, mail room and work from home facilities.

At the heart of Ellesmere Port, a town of 60,000 residents, when completed the EPIC will offer best-in-class accommodation and service within the local lettings market

Once built and fully occupied, the households are estimated to generate expenditure in the region of £1.1million per annum contributing towards the local economy and Town Centre Regeneration.
